Nisim International has been in business for over 25 years producing quality hair products guaranteed to what they say they will do.
That doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything fun. You just need to know that there are dangers lurking around every corner and that it’s crucial to develop an appropriate summer hair care routine.
So let’s get to it…
Tip 1: Keep Your Hair Away From Chlorine
Let's start with the fact that chlorine is filthy. I mean, they put it in the pool to eliminate everything, right? Doesn't this sound like something you wouldn't want in your hair?
When your hair is wet with chlorinated water, it absorbs the chlorine and dries out the sebum (the natural oil that keeps hair smooth). This will overdry your hair over time, resulting in cracked cuticles and breakage.
One of the simplest methods to preserve your hair is to wet it first with non-chlorinated water, which will absorb into your hair instead.
If you want to learn how to keep your hair hydrated during the summer, Moroccan oil is an excellent option. It's an ideal oil to use before jumping into the pool when applied through wet hair.
It revives, nourishes, softens, and conditions your hair before you ever begin to style it.
If you intend on doing a lot of swimming, consider investing in an anti-chlorine shampoo and conditioner to assist remove the chlorine from your hair.
Tip 2: Make sure to explain and condition
It's a fantastic idea to clean your hair occasionally, no matter how little of a pool swimmer you are. This cleanses your hair of salt, sand, chlorine, minerals, and any other type of build-up.
The main benefit of clarifying shampoo is that it cleanses poorly washed hair thoroughly. It makes sense, doesn't it? You're using a product that removes all of the natural oils and moisture from your hair.
Tip 3: Use UV Protection
Okay… I'm going to show you a picture. Consider what would happen to a car dashboard if you didn't use a sunshade to block out UV rays. It becomes dry and cracks, isn't it?
What is the best way to keep your hair healthy and beautiful? After washing, how do you protect it from fading and breaking? You use conditioner to moisturize it and block UV radiation from reaching it.
It's the same story for your hair. The sun dulls and fades your expensive hair color (healthy hair appears glossy and vibrant). It damages the cuticle in the same way, resulting in dry, brittle hair, split ends, discolouration, and frizziness.
Tip 4: Alternative Updos
If you're like me, you usually keep your hair up in the summer. But try to switch up where you tie it each day. This is one of my all-time favorite beach hair care tips.
If you wear your hair in the same position every day, the hair tie will produce constant friction, which will eventually cause breakage and damage.
My most essential piece of advice is to vary up your appearance on a daily basis. I use bobby pins to hold my hair back on occasion, while other times I prefer a ponytail.
Take advantage of the scrunchie trend or use a hair tie that won't cause breakage if you're adamant on wearing your hair in the same ponytail every day.
Tip 5: Covering Up
What better way to protect your hair from UV rays than to completely block them out?
There are about a million cute hat styles in the world right now. Take advantage of that.
Tip 6: Condition, Condition, Condition
Remember that conditioner is always your friend, year-round.
This is a simple hair care idea that many people overlook, but I can't emphasize it enough. Never forget to use conditioner, and try to treat your hair daily, especially when it comes to summer hair care.
I don't wash my hair every day because doing so can dry out the top layer of my scalp. However, I sometimes just wet my hair, put conditioner in, and rinse it out after taking a shower. This leaves my hair feeling revitalized and healthy-looking.
Tip 7: Minimize Heat Damage
Give your hair a break; it’s already taking a beating from the natural elements. Let it air-dry and cut back on the hot tools.
Remember that the beachy tousled look is always in, and it’s effortless to achieve without heat!
